We have a lot to celebrate in this September issue, and I am not sure which milestone went by faster: two years of One Community One Connection or my 50 years in real estate!
When we began this magazine, our goal was to create something local, useful, positive, and centered around the people, businesses, and stories that make our community special. Two years later, I am proud of what it has become and grateful to everyone who reads it, shares it, contributes to it, and encourages us each month.
September also marks my 50th year in real estate. Blink, and there goes 50 years!
The business has changed more than I could ever have imagined when I began. We have gone from carbon paper and driving all over town collecting signatures to electronic documents, instant information, artificial intelligence, and virtual tours. Through it all, one thing has never changed. Real estate has always been and will always be about people.
This month’s issue shares some of my story, but these 50 years were never mine alone. They belong to my family, the agents and staff who have worked alongside me, the clients who trusted us, and the community that allowed Leslie Wells Realty to grow along with Parrish. I am sincerely grateful to every person who has been part of this journey.
September is also the month when children are back in school, families settle into new routines, and we pause for Labor Day. It is a good time to recognize the people whose hard work keeps our businesses, schools, neighborhoods, and community moving forward every day.
As we celebrate two years of One Community One Connection and my 50 years in real estate, I am not looking backward. I am excited about what is ahead for our profession, our company, and our rapidly changing community.
And just so there is no misunderstanding, I’m not going anywhere!
Thank you for celebrating with us, and welcome to our September issue.

Owner, Leslie Wells Realty
