Coming Home: The Journey Isn’t Always Linear
We talk about “home” as if it’s a fixed destination a place we arrive at and never leave. But anyone who has lived through change knows that home is often far more fluid than that. It evolves with us, shaped by seasons of life, moments of growth, and sometimes by circumstances we never saw coming.
In real estate, we witness this every day. Our clients come to us in times of transition new jobs, growing families, loss, divorce, fresh starts. We help them pack up pieces of their lives and step into something new, something that fits who they are right now. And yet, as agents, we often forget that we are on similar journeys ourselves.
Our version of “home” might not always be a house it can be a brokerage, a team, a role, a community. We search for the right fit, the place that aligns with our values, supports our growth, and feels like where we belong. But just like the homes we help our clients buy and sell, those places are not always meant to be forever.
I started my career at Leslie Wells Realty 13 years ago , working alongside my mom. It was where everything began where I learned the foundations of this business and what it means to truly serve people. From there, I found a new “home” at Compass. For three years, it gave me everything I could have hoped for and more: cutting-edge technology, inspiring top producers, innovative training, and a culture that pushed me to grow.
At the time, I thought it was my forever home.
But how many times have we heard that before?
Life changes. Priorities shift. Growth happens in ways we don’t expect. And sometimes, in the process, we gain a new appreciation for where we started. We begin to see that “home” isn’t always about permanence—it’s about purpose. It’s about what we need in a particular moment in our journey.
And sometimes, coming home means returning not as the same person who left, but as someone stronger, more experienced, and more aware of what truly matters.
So it is with great joy that I share I am coming back to where it all began.
This return isn’t a step backward—it’s a step forward with deeper knowledge, sharper insight, and a renewed sense of purpose. I bring with me everything I’ve learned along the way, every lesson, every challenge, every success. And I’m excited to apply it in a place that has always been part of my story.
And just like I am here for my own next chapter, I’m here for yours too—no matter what your move looks like.
