BY SHERIFF RICK WELLS
What if you could connect with your Sheriff’s Office, find important information and access helpful community resources with just a tap? The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office mobile app puts a variety of tools at your fingertips, making it easier than ever to stay informed, stay connected and play an active role in keeping our community safe.
I often encourage residents to download our app because it’s another way we can serve you beyond answering a call for service. Whether you need to report a crime, share a tip, find a local district office, or get the latest public safety information, our app makes it easy to connect with us in one convenient place.
See something? Say something. If you have information that could help investigators, the app’s Submit a Tip button takes you directly to Manatee County Crime Stoppers, where you can share information that may help solve a crime.
Need to report a crime? The app also provides a direct link to the online reporting page on our website, making it easier to submit a report for incidents that qualify for online reporting. You can also access information about arrests, request public records, and find crime prevention tips to help protect yourself, your family, and your property.
The app is also a convenient resource when you need to contact us. You’ll find addresses and lobby hours for our district offices, helping you find
the office nearest your neighborhood and know when you can visit. We want residents to know how to reach us and where to turn when they need assistance.
Our app includes weather resources with real-time alerts to help you stay aware of changing conditions. With Florida’s unpredictable weather, having access to timely information can help you and your family prepare when severe weather threatens our area.
And if you’re interested in a career with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, you can use the app to find current employment opportunities and explore ways to join our team. We’re always looking for people who want to make a difference through public service.
My goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to connect with your Sheriff’s Office. Our mobile app is one more tool to improve communication, provide access to useful resources and strengthen the partnership we share with the people we serve.
If you haven’t downloaded it yet, I encourage you to do so today. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office mobile app is available for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
