Sheriff Rick Wells
I hope you never have to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office to report a crime, but if you do, it’s now easier than ever. I’m pleased to announce that our online reporting feature is available at manateesheriff.com. You can conveniently provide information about incidents that occur in the unincorporated areas of Manatee County by simply going to our website and clicking on the center-left side of our homepage where it says, FILE A REPORT ONLINE. Just as a deputy takes a report in person or over the phone, the online system enables you to report a wide range of issues, from scams to non-criminal complaints.
Here’s an example of the reports you can file online:
📝 Information Reports (Non-Criminal Complaints)
📝 Lost Property
📝 Minor Traffic Collisions
📝 Thefts
📝 Vandalism
📝 Credit/ Debit Card Fraud
📝 Check Forgery
📝 Identity Theft
📝Scams
📝 Shoplifting
📝 Supplemental Reports (to add information to an existing report)
I’ve included a QR code in this article that provides a direct link for online reporting and additional information about this service. In case of an emergency, please do not hesitate to call 911. It is also important to remember that filing a false police report is a crime. If you have any questions or would prefer to speak directly with a deputy, please call us at (941) 747-3011, extension 2260. Our lobby and telephone reporting hours are from 6 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week.
